- Protect vulnerable plants from frost
- Ensure birds have food and water
- Continue with winter digging when soil conditions allow
- Apply organic mulches to beds

- Prune hardy evergreen trees and shrubs
- Continue planting trees and shrubs as the weather allows
- Prune off old stems of herbaceous perennials

- Chit early potatoes to get them ready for planting in spring.

We do not operate an online ordering system for delivery.
We much prefer customers to visit in person and select the plants, pots, sundries etc. themselves. Then we can arrange delivery if required. This avoids any disappointment caused by plants not meeting customers criteria and also ensures you receive the items that you saw and chose.
Of course for bulky items such as compost, grits, gravels and water softener salt tablets we are more than happy to accept telephone orders for delivery.
Whilst there is no minimum spend for delivery there is a small charge to cover costs. Local delivery starts from £10 and this covers areas such as Gt Dunmow, Thaxted, Stansted, Elsenham and Bishop's Stortford. Areas beyond these incurr additional charges. Please ask for details.
Although we are 'traditional' we do accept all methods of payment including credit/debit cards, Apple or Android pay, our own Gift Vouchers and of course good old fashioned cash!
