Shrubs

Shrubs have a permanent structure of woody stems. They come in all shapes and sizes, some holding onto their leaves all year (evergreens), others losing them in autumn (deciduous).

Shrubs are the backbone of any garden, offering long-term structure and beauty across the seasons. There’s a shrub to suit every situation and style, whether you want year-round interest or a big seasonal splash, a tall, dense screen or low ground cover. As well as flowers, many shrubs offer attractive foliage, colourful stems and vibrant fruits. They’re a wildlife magnet too, providing shelter and food for a range of creatures.

The majority of our shrubs are grown in 2-3 litre pots though we do have larger specimens throughout the different seasons.

Delivery

We do not operate an online ordering system for delivery.

We much prefer customers to visit in person and select the plants, pots, sundries etc. themselves. Then we can arrange delivery if required. This avoids any disappointment caused by plants not meeting customers criteria and also ensures you receive the items that you saw and chose.

Of course for bulky items such as compost, grits, gravels and water softener salt tablets we are more than happy to accept telephone orders for delivery.

Whilst there is no minimum spend for delivery there is a small charge to cover costs. Local delivery starts from £10 and this covers areas such as Gt Dunmow, Thaxted, Stansted, Elsenham and Bishop's Stortford. Areas beyond these incurr additional charges. Please ask for details.

PLEASE NOTE

Although we are 'traditional' we do accept all methods of payment including credit/debit cards, Apple or Android pay, our own Gift Vouchers and of course good old fashioned cash!
